Read my hubpage MISTAKES, then you can avoid them
71
In this hub I explained the mistakes done by me as a newbie to hubpages. This would help you to avoid those mistakes and to become a Greate Hubber.
Do not do the mistakes done by me….No means NO - Hubpages has some rules which should be followed by hubbers which appears when you create a hub just after selecting topic, template and keywords. NO means NO, if you break any of these rules you would be punished by some way, may be your hubscore or hubscore of your hub would be go down.
Now take a look at mistakes done by me….
1. Use dirty words
I created a short hub and it had following dialogue,
“When your wife gets pregnant
all her friends rub her belly and say "congratulations!"
But nobody rubs your “ONE” and say's "Good Job"?
You know, in the original hub I did not use “ONE”, it was a dirty word. Ohhhhhh….then the warning was appeared. But I neglected it, but warnings never disappear. My hubscore was also gone down. I think there is some relation between hubscore and breaking hub rules.
Actually I was shocked and thought this hubpages is so intelligent….then I changed the “bad ONE” word to “ONE” and publish. Then only warning disappeared. Anyway later I deleted that hub since it is not a great hub at all.
I earned 900 $ in last month by writing articles like this article in HubPages. Why not you? Very simple, totally free, no HTML, just write and earn..
2. Duplicate content
It was my third hub. After writing 2 hubs, actually I uploaded some technical documents which I created as my first 2 hubs. Then I did not have anything to upload or write. That day I received a very nice email, it was very funny and interesting. Then I thought I should publish this as my own hub in hubpages. Simply within 10 minutes I wrote a wonderful hub. Actually I did not write anything just cut and past my email content. Ohhhhh….then the warning appeared, this is a duplicate content which is publish in some where else in the web.
Again I was shocked and it was confirmed this hubpages is so intelligent…hubpages automatically unpublish this and never allowed to publish again. So, simply I had to delete entire hub.
3. Too many tags
Ohhh...third mistake which I done was too many tags. I thought "I should add more and more tags to see it in everywhere when someone search". I add add add....finally I thought now it is enough. I was happy, now I have enough tags. After completed the hub I push "Done Editing" button, now again another warning appeared "This hub has a large number of tags". That hub had more than 50 tags, so I had no choice except reduce the number of tags. So finally I reduced it to 50 tags. Then finally warning was disappeared. Anyway now I do not use more than 10 tags for my new hubs since I do not see any advantage of that.
4. Very little content
This mistake is so simple. I think no need of any explanation. I just wrote very little content and try to publish. Then hubpages said "This hub contains very little content". So I do not had any other option except write more...so finally I wrote more...finally I was able to disappear the warning. Anyway I do not know what is the minimum number of letters or words for a hub.
I hope this hub is useful to all my fellow hubbers, especially newly joined hubbers like me. I will add more if I do some more mistakes in future.
Enjoy hubpages…!!!!!!!!

Very good advice, although I never had this problem, this will keep me from ever having it. Thanks for the advice.
Great advice!
I think you have learned your lessons well. I still have much to learn, too, when it comes to writing in HubPages.
There is always something new to learn on Hubpages and I think that we all learned by making mistakes at the beginning.
Thanx Suramahe I learnt a lot from your hub
LOL you have a great experience so far here, wlecome to HubPages my dear nyahahaha 3x, HP is not smart hehehe they're just equipped with sophisticated devices/equipments that will certainly discern if a hub is a duplicate or not.
Keep Hubbing well my dear new friend!
yes we all learn even older hubbers. I always thought duplicate content was something that you copied from someone else at first.
Not being smart, I used some of the things I had written for another writing site. I changed part of the title so it read different and added and deleted parts of the original article. To my horror it was still classed as duplicate content.
I have deleted some of them and left some. Some of the ones I have left I have reworded most of it, yet it is still classed as duplicate. So I am not going to get more grey hairs over it. I made the problem so have to live with it.
In time I will probably rewrite them all but at the moment I am the only one that sees these and yes they are penalised through scoring. But they still earn me a little extra pennies.
Thanks for writing this hub. well done we can all learn from our mistakes.
This is a great info for newbie like me. Thanks anyway

Good job. Well written. Thanks for the info. I have had some of these done to me too. lol I was just writting a new hub when the warning There is another hub with this title please find a new one appeared. So I went and typed it in the search hubs, I could not find another hub with that same title. I still had to pick another one.
Tina
Thanks for taking the time to help! Good to know!
Very good advice indeed, esp the part on too many tags and little content. Thanks for sharing the info.
Great article for new hubbers. Thank you. I was fortunate enough not to run into any of these issues but wished I had read this day 1. As always, I appreciate the guidance and hubs.
