Most beautiful, Indians or Venezuelans?

One controversial question, isn’t it? I am not going to answer this question, but my hub provides some facts to decide the answer. Anyway no one is willing to waste time to decide the answer but enjoy the beauty of beauty queens from these two countries.

There are two major beauty contests in the world.

• Miss world – started in 1951, HQ is in London, UK
• Miss universe – started in 1952, HQ is in New York, USA

Both contests were dominated by Indian beauty queens and Venezuelans beauty queens during last two decades as follows.

Miss world

Both countries won five titles each since the beginning of the contest. Eight titles were won by both countries since 1980 out of 29 contests.

• India – 1966, 1994, 1997, 1999, 2000
• Venezuela - 1955, 1981, 1984, 1991, 1995

Venezuela beauty queens who won “Miss World” are as follows,

Miss Universe

Venezuelan beauty queens are dominant in this contest over Indians. Venezuelan beauty queens won six titles while Indians won only two titles. American beauty queens dominate in this contest over both these countries by winning seven titles, but four out of seven are before 1980. Seven titles are won by both countries since 1980 out of thirty contests.

• Venezuela - 1979, 1981, 1986, 1996, 2008, 2009

Venezuela beauty queens who won “Miss Universe” are as follows,

• 2009 - Stefania Fernandez

Both “Miss World” and “Miss Universe” titles were won by Indian beauty queens in 1994 & 2000 while Venezuelan won both in 1981. Hope now you have a very clear picture how world beauty queen contests are dominated by both countries.
